Mission How to unlock 2.1 Departures Do not kill all enemies in mission 1. 2.2 Determination Eliminate all enemies in mission 1. 6.1 The Blind Masseuse At least one enemy must spot you in mission 5. 6.2 What Lurks in the shadow You may not be spotted in mission 5. 7.1 A Sister's Promise Don't pick up the map in mission 6.1 or mission 6.2 . 7.2 For Whom the Bell Tolls Pick up the map in mission 6.1 or mission 6.2 . 10.1 Flames of Passion Kill all 3 enemies at the beginning of mission 9. 10.2 Flames of Sorrow Don't kill the samurai at the beginning of mission 9. 12.1 Tenchu Kurenai Defeat Ranzou. 12.2 Tenchu Kurenai Let Ranzou escape.

Red Blade Mode (Pitfight mode)

Beat all missions to unlock.

Red Blade Mode (Pitfight mode) - Fight against all bosses

Beat all stages to unlock the boss fight stage. If you beat Juzo and still have more than 23 minutes left, you will fight against 2 Ayames. If you beat them, you unlock Ayame's Tenchu: Stealth Assassin and Tenchu 2: Birth of the Stealth Assassins costume.

Additional Costumes

There are 3 additional costumes for Ayame and 1 for Rin. Beat the game to unlock Ayame's Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven costume and Rin's hidden costume. To unlock Ayame's Tenchu: Stealth Assassin and Tenchu 2: Birth of the Stealth Assassins costumes you have 2 possibilities. 1. Collect more than 1600 scrolls together with Rin and Ayame ( for example if you collect 801 scrolls with Rin and 800 scrolls with Ayame this ads up to 1601 and unlocks the costumes). 2. Beat all bosses in the Red Blade Mode with more than 23 minutes left. Two Ayame's will fight you afterwards. If you beat them the costumes are unlocked.

Rin's hidden weapon

Rin's claws are hidden in mission 8 (A Task without reward). Cross the bridge and walk left until you reach the fence's corner.

Ayame's hidden weapon

Ayame's poisoned blades (Oboro) are hidden in the missions 7.1 (A Sister's Promise) and 7.2 (For Whom the Bell Tolls). They can be found near the end of the missions.

Play the tutorial as Ayame

Highlight tutorial, hold L1 and press X.

Cutscenes with armor

In the encyclopedia menu, highlight cutscenes, hold L2 and press X. NOTE: First you have to unlock Ayame & Rin's armor.

Defeat Tatsukichi with one hit

Run up to Tatsukichi and press circle.
